"It's great to be back on the court and playing again after having a tough break of the game, but I'm excited to be back playing and I'm glad that I still have the experience," Duxford said.

Duxford went into the match ranked No. 14 in the world and was up to 14 after a four-break of 36 and a break-point of 54, but she fell 2-1 in the fourth before winning her fourth match, losing to a winner, in the final.

The women were the first to go at a tournament the top players in the world are playing. It was their second-straight final at the U.S. Open after they took the tournament title in 2014, when they finished first in their group.

Duxford faced the best team in the world, and she was one of the top players in the world at the tournament, finishing second at last year's U.S. Open, then taking second at this year's.

Wins for Webb and Duxford could help make up for the loss of some of their best players.
